Please read these Terms of Service completely before using OtakuRank.com (the "Service"). By using or accessing the Service, you agree to become bound by all the terms and conditions of this agreement.

1. Description of Service

OtakuRank is an Entertainment Platform and Virtual Trading Simulation. The Service provides a simulated environment where users can "buy" and "sell" fictional representations of anime, manga, and gaming characters using a virtual, in-game currency.

2. Virtual Currency ($OTK) and Simulated Trading

OtakuRank is NOT a financial institution, investment platform, or real-money trading application.

• The virtual currency used within the Service ("$OTK Cash") has absolute zero monetary value in the real world.
• $OTK cannot be purchased with real money, cannot be withdrawn, and cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or any other items of value outside of the Service.
• The "stocks" and "shares" representing characters and media franchises are purely fictional gameplay mechanics. They do not represent legal ownership in any real-world company, intellectual property, or financial security.

3. Copyright & Intellectual Property Disclaimer

OtakuRank is an unofficial, fan-made entertainment project. We do not claim ownership over any of the anime, manga, light novel, or video game titles, characters, or images displayed on the Service.

• All media, images, and character metadata are dynamically sourced via public, third-party APIs (such as the AniList API and RAWG API).
• All intellectual property rights, trademarks, and copyrights belong to their respective creators, publishers, and studios.
• The use of these materials on OtakuRank is strictly for transformative, non-commercial, fan-based entertainment under the principles of Fair Use.

4. User Conduct

As a condition of use, you promise not to use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or exploit bugs to artificially inflate your virtual portfolio or manipulate the global leaderboards.
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service.

5. Termination

We may terminate your access to the Service, without cause or notice, which may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with your account (including your virtual portfolio). All provisions of this Agreement that, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall OtakuRank, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
