How the OtakuRank Global Leaderboard Calculates Rankings
Most ranking sites rely on outdated static lists or easily-manipulated single-site scores. OtakuRank takes a modern, multi-source approach that reflects what the global anime community is actually watching and celebrating right now.
Rank Scoring Metrics
- Official Database Averages: Real-time ratings normalized from AniList and TMDB.
- Live Community Upvotes: Upvotes and downvotes cast directly by active OtakuRank users.
- Trending Momentum: Rapid jumps in weekly episode engagement and watchlist additions.
- 24-Hour Deltas: Real-time badges showing positions gained (▲), dropped (▼), or new entries (✨ NEW).
